How to Create a Google Review QR Code

Step-by-step: generate a Google review link from your Place ID, turn it into a QR code, print it, and optionally upgrade to a branded RateUs.ai poster.

A Google review QR code lets customers open your Google review form with one scan — no searching, no typos.

Option A — Free direct QR (2 minutes)

  1. Open your business on Google Maps and copy the share link (or your Place ID)
  2. Paste it into the free Google review QR code generator
  3. Download the PNG (and copy the review link if you want to share by SMS)
  4. Print it and place it where happy customers pause (counter, mirror, exit)

Option B — Branded RateUs.ai poster (recommended)

A raw QR works. A branded poster with your logo converts better — and can add AI-assisted drafts.

  1. Create a free RateUs.ai account
  2. Add your business, logo, and Google review link
  3. Create a QR campaign and download the branded poster
  4. Hang it and ask customers to scan after a great visit

Best practices for QR placement

  • Eye level at checkout or reception
  • Good lighting (camera needs contrast)
  • One clear headline: “Scan to leave us a Google review”
  • Train staff to mention it once — not nag

Direct QR vs RateUs.ai

  • Direct QR: Opens Google’s form immediately. DIY printing. No AI draft or private feedback.
  • RateUs.ai: Branded flow, AI review draft, private feedback, poster download, optional offers and lead capture.
